I had an excellent tea tonight and thought I’d spread the love. It’s a really easy meal to make and is relatively healthy (based on a Slimming World recipe, I seem to recall).
Fry some sausages up (I’m a vegetarian, so I use vege ones and they’re fine).
Fry up an onion.
Put the onion and sausages in a casserole dish with a couple of tins of baked beans and a tin of kidney beans in chilli sauce (the chilli sauce is important for flavour).
Stick it in the oven for half an hour.
I’ve adapted the above recipe to chuck in some extra veg (carrots and peppers work well), plus some pickled onions add a pleasing crunch.
